Monte Pindo slope
From the start the route starts at shadow, under the few trees that have remained of a fire years ago who has not been able to pluck the beauty of this magical place in Galicia. The landscape variety is seen just after crossing the wooded area that overlooks the town, to begin to see the signs of this great granite mount of large rocks chiseled by the wind.
Leaving the sea behind
The beginning of the route is simple, but when the sun squeezes and you leave the shadows behind you should know that they are waiting for you more than 600m slope, so you have to carry a lot, a lot of water. We saw only shadows, so it is better to protect and hydrate.
You can barely see the lily of the bush, one of the jewels of this place, but with the views and how well it is marked that the route is for many is more than enough. The views towards the beach with a turquoise sea Surrounded by mountains are unique.
There is a moment of the route that passes through small streams and for a kind of canyon, to give a huge clearing and ascend to the final stretch of the route. In less than 2 hours, if you go slow, you will be at the top, a top where granite is visible as the views from the incredible top of Mount Pindo.
The route is very well signposted. There are sections with beacons marked with White and green and even with wooden posts, so if you don't carry the track, don't worry, it's hard to get lost. The important thing, the sea always keep it to the left.
